Quick answer. Fresh batteries the right way round, then pair again. A phone torch on the front of the remote shows if the IR LED still flashes.
A 'dead' remote is batteries 8 times out of 10.

A flash on the camera screen means IR is firing. The TV side may be the problem.

Install it on Wi-Fi before you need it in the dark.

- A remote that got a drink needs to dry for a day. Rice is a myth; airflow is better.
